Short thundery showers to be expected on most days in 2nd half of September
Above average rainfall can also be expected during this half of September.
More thundery showers are expected in the second half of September compared to the first half of the month, the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) reported on Friday (Sep 15).
While more showers are forecast in the coming fortnight, daily maximum temperatures are still anticipated to remain within the range of 32 to 34 degrees Celsius on most days.
On a few days, the daily maximum temperature could reach a high of slightly above 34 degrees Celsius.
Wet weather conditions can be expected due to the presence of a moist air mass. Short-duration thundery showers are forecast between the late morning and afternoon over parts of the island on most days.
There may also be widespread moderate to heavy thundery showers over Singapore in the afternoon on two or three days.
Above average rainfall can be expected during the latter half of September, with the total rainfall being above average over most parts of the island for the month.
