US fast-food chain Shake Shack has debuted its a Sambal Mayo menu that’s unique to Singapore for a limited time.

With a sambal mayo concoction taking centre stage, the new menu line-up – which will be available from Jun 1 to Aug 15 – consists of beef and chicken burgers and crinkle-cut fries.

The Sambal Mayo Burger is a spin-off of Shake Shack’s classic cheese burger, using the same Angus beef patty but now topped with its special sambal mayo as well as cucumbers, fried egg and onions, all wrapped in a potato bun.

As for the Sambal Mayo Chicken Shack, it takes on more tangy notes with the inclusion of cilantro, lime and fish sauce cabbage.

Just like the Sambal Mayo Burger, the Sambal Mayo Fries also takes after Shake Shack’s Crinkle-Cut Cheese Fries, swapping out the cheese for the unique spicy sauce.

The sambal featured in all three dishes was exclusively created by local chef Jeremy Nguee, co-founder of Batu Lesung Spice Company and Mrs Kueh.

The partnership is in line with Shake Shack’s Stand for Something Good mission, which seeks to support the local community by working with local producers.

The Spicy Mayo menu is available at all eight Shake Shack outlets islandwide from Jun 1 to Aug 15.
