In celebration of Singapore’s 57th birthday, Singaporeans can look forward to the illumination of the island’s iconic landmarks from Aug 1 to 27.
For the third year running, the National Heritage Board (NHB) is organising the National Day Light-Up. This year’s edition features six different landmarks across the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct.
These landmarks include the National Museum of Singapore, Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, Central Fire Station, The Cathay, National Design Centre and Stamford Arts Centre.
The landmarks, four of which are National Monuments, were chosen to remind visitors of our national identity and bond the generations past, present and future.
Each landmark will be lit up in the colours of the National Flag – red and white.
The National Day Light-Up will take place from Aug 1 to 27 at the respective landmarks from 7.30pm to 12am daily. The light up at the National Museum of Singapore will only be available till Aug 10.
