Sentosa will celebrate its 50th anniversary this September, and is preemptively kicking off celebrations for its Golden Jubilee.

Over the course of the year, different leisure activities, attractions and tours will be launched with the theme Discovery Neverending

The Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has partnered with multiple travel agencies to launch a new series of tours called SentoSights, based on sustainable living and heritage. The series has over 10 tours— four of which have already been launched— and will highlight Sentosa’s beauty and the importance of conservation with three tour categories: Island Play, Island Nature and Island Heritage.

SentoSights will also offer guests the chance to explore some of the Southern Islands like St John’s and Lazarus Island via experiences like sunset cruises and sustainable fishing.

Additionally, SDC is hosting a contest on social media titled Stories of Discovery. The contest will be launched on Feb 7, and the most heart-warming 10 photo entries will stand to win a three-day-two-night staycation on Sentosa.

The Sentosa Islander membership will also be revamped. All guests will be able to register for the free basic tier of the membership, which will still earn them rewards, and higher-tier members will enjoy more privileges.

Sentosa is also collaborating with Brewerkz and Udders to create Sentosa-themed beer and ice cream, which will be sold both on the island and on mainland Singapore. The flavours promise to remind people of both Sentosa’s vibrancy, as well as its history.

Details of these experiences, as well as more events that will be launched for the celebration, will be announced in the coming months on Sentosa’s website
