*SCAPE’s Streamer Residency programme returns; registrations open until Dec 9
The top 12 participants from the EXP Camp will move on to the Pathway Mentorship programme.
Ever dreamed of becoming a top Twitch streamer, or just wanted to find new ways to spice up your streams? You now have a chance to learn from seasoned streamers through the returning *SCAPE’s Streamer Residency programme.
The residency programme is dedicated to supporting aspiring youth streamers in Singapore. Previous editions have seen graduates such as HuffnPufffz and kimmothy, who were able to achieve Twitch Partner status during the course of the programme.
Its third edition is made up of two parts – a three-day Experience Camp (EXP Camp) and the Pathway Mentorship programme.
During EXP Camp, the participants will be mentored by different streamers including local streamer Wolfsbanee, as well as Tanggoz, LewLoh, Iz_Cream, Sol8erry, and Shykuroboo. The mentors have various styles, ranging from composing and singing to gaming and lifestyle.
EXP Camp will take place from Dec 16 to 18, and consists of team activities, mini challenges, fireside panel discussions, and reflection sessions. Participants will learn from the mentors and are encouraged to network with each other to help them in their streaming journey.
Sessions for the camp will be held at *SCAPE for all three days, but participants will not be required to stay overnight. On Dec 16, the camp will take place from 3pm to 10pm, while from Dec 17 to 18, it will take place from 10am to 7pm.
Upon selection for the camp, participants are expected to commit fully. If they fail to turn up or complete the camp, their $50 deposit will be forfeited.
After EXP Camp, the top 12 will go on to the Pathway Mentorship programme. The Pathway programme is overseen by the overall mentor supercatkei, who has over 60K followers on Twitch.
The participants will be assigned as mentees under one of the four mentors, Tanggoz, LewLoh, Wolfsbanee and binggs_. They can expect sharing sessions from each of the mentors, 1-on-1 mentoring sessions, masterclasses and content review sessions.
During the Pathway programme, participants will be given weekly projects and workbooks to complete. They are also expected to fulfil potential sponsorship entitlements and stream at least 12 hours a week. They will be responsible for monitoring their Twitch statistics and sharing it with the organising team weekly.
Participants will also receive a loot crate filled with sponsored equipment and accessories to boost their streaming experience.
At the end of the programme, there is a graduation ceremony that will be broadcast live on Twitch.
Those who are interested can sign up via *SCAPE’s website. Registration closes on Dec 9, and streamers who are already Twitch partners are not allowed to participate.
