The teaser was released on McDonald’s Facebook and Instagram page on Sep 17.
The seasonal Samurai Burger is speculated to return to the McDonald’s menu at 11am on Sep 22 after a teaser post was released on its social media pages.
The post depicts the silhouette of a samurai in armour with the phrase “He’s coming”. It is accompanied by the caption: “Prepare your appetite Singapore! It’s almost time to listen to your inner warrior. We’ll see you reaaal soon.”
The teaser was published at 11am on Sep 17.
Several netizens commented on the social media posts to request for the permanent addition of the Samurai Burger to the McDonald’s menu.
The Samurai Burger is known to consist of a quarter-pound beef patty, McDonald’s Signature teriyaki sauce, lettuce and a spread of mayonnaise between the two sesame seed buns. Customers also had the option of swapping out the beef patties for chicken patties.
In its previous release, an ala carte Samurai Burger was priced at $6.20.
Samurai Burger enthusiasts are also looking forward to the possible return of the Seaweed Shaker Fries as it is a well-known accompaniment to the burger’s releases in the past.
Additionally, customers might also be able to enjoy a new limited-time menu item alongside the Samurai Burger and Seaweed Shaker Fries.
Back in July 2019, McDonald’s released an exclusive variety of matcha ice creams to complete the set, including the Matcha Cone, Matcha Twist Cone, Matcha Hot Fudge Sundae and Matcha Dip Mcflurry.
However, whether the Samurai Burger is actually coming back is still under speculation by the public as McDonald’s has not revealed any of the new menu items.
