SAFRA’s seventh clubhouse will open in Choa Chu Kang this May, featuring a sports-themed indoor inflatable park and a sheltered swimming pool.

It is also the first SAFRA club built to be environmentally friendly with the use of solar panels, a heat recovery system for hot water, and harvested rainwater for irrigation.

The clubhouse is part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to appreciate NSmen for their contributions towards National Defence, with over 90,000 Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) national servicemen having convenient access to the facilities, said Senior Minister of State for Defence and president of SAFRA Zaqy Mohamad in a Facebook post on Friday (Jan 27).

Here are four things to look forward to at the upcoming SAFRA outlet.

Fitness facilities

Those looking to keep fit can use the 150m sky running track on level four for circuit training, or visit the sheltered swimming pool and futsal court on level two, which is exclusive to SAFRA Choa Chu Kang.

The club will also include an Integrated Fitness and Wellness Hub on level three. It will house facilities like a Balinese-inspired spa, an EnergyOne gym, and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy.

Adventurous visitors can also go for an indoor climbing session at a facility operated by Climb Central on level four.

Dining outlets

After having a quick workout, visitors can opt to purchase takeaway meals at the club’s Burger King outlet, which is the only one in Singapore with a drive-through.

Alternatively, they can visit the unique military-themed CAMO Café and Bar, which serves as a café by day and a chill-out spot by night. The food served includes a fusion of Asian and Western cuisines.

SAFRA Choa Chu Kang will also have a Food Paradise Food Court, Texas Chicken outlet and barbeque pits for those who want to have a cookout, so visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options.

There will also be four separate game rooms within the club for SAFRA members to gather for mahjong or various board games. These rooms are exclusive for member’s bookings.
