The event will feature a host of cross-media events, including the League of Legends World Championship.
Riot Games has announced the RiotX Arcane event to celebrate the launch of Riot’s first animated series Arcane League of Legends.
The RiotX Arcane event will be a month-long affair featuring in-person and digital cross-media events throughout the month alongside exclusive in-game activations across all of Riot’s titles.
The event kicked off on Nov 1, leading up to the Super Weekend of events that will feature the League of Legends World Championship and the long awaited Arcane premiere on Netflix.
The League of Legends World Championship has long been the stage for some of Riot’s most popular entertainment experiences and this year is no exception. This year’s show on Nov 6 will feature new music from pop rock bands Imagine Dragons and PVRIS, and rappers JID and Denzel Curry.
The following day, the Arcane League of Legends global premiere will become the first Netflix series to debut alongside Twitch. You can expect to see your favourite content creators broadcast their live reactions to episode one on the platform.
All of Riot’s games will also launch exclusive Arcane themed product features and updates throughout the month-long festivities. This will include new skins, characters and game modes on League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, VALORANT, and Teamfight Tactics.
According to Riot, more than 600 million people worldwide have played in the League universe over the last decade. There were over 180 million players playing in the League universe in the month of October alone — marking an all-time high for the company.
