The popular Ramadan bazaars and Hari Raya light-ups are set to return this year from Apr 2 to May 2 after a two-year break. The Minister of State for Home Affairs Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim announced this through his Facebook page on Mar 15.

There will be two bazaars set up this year. The Geylang Serai Hari Raya Shopping Experience will be held at Wisma Geylang Serai (WGS), while the Ramadan Souk will be at Kampong Gelam.

He also added that Hari Raya light-ups will be put up along the two locations for the public to enjoy.

The Geylang Serai Hari Raya Shopping Experience will comprise two zones around the WGS building and will last through the fasting month. It will be open from 1pm to 11pm daily.

This year’s bazaars will be of a smaller scale than the pre-pandemic ones, with a maximum of 20 stalls in each zone.

According to HaveHalalWillTravel, some of the food vendors that have confirmed their participation in the bazaar include Chulop!, Boms&Buns, Kream, T Bob’s Corner Steakhouse and the bazaar’s popular beverage, Broti.

Mr Faishal urges the public to remain cautious and adhere to the safe management measures that will be placed along the area so as to keep everyone safe during the event period.

More details regarding the bazaar will be announced in the coming weeks through WGS and One Kampong Gelam social media platforms.
