Ramadan 2023: Pasar malams and bazaars to visit
Iconic vendors such as Burger Ramly and The Original Vadai will be present at some of the locations.
If you are not a fan of large and loud crowds at the Geylang bazaar, or simply have no time to travel out far, here are some alternative pasar malams and bazaars to visit this Ramadan season!
You can expect to find bazaar staples, unique fusion food, clothing, and gadget stalls at these locations.
East
A total of eight pasar malams are located at neighbouring locations in the east – Pasir Ris, Tampines, and Bedok.
Pasir Ris
Held until Apr 16 at D’Marquee, Downtown East, Twilight Ramadan is a 4-day fair that offers food and snacks as well as a wide range of home, health, and beauty products.

Tampines
Those staying in Tampines can consider paying the pasar malams at Block 301 and Block 826 a visit. Both will be held until Apr 21.
Some of the vendors at Block 826’s pasar malam include the iconic Ramly burger, Osaka Japanese pizza, and Vadai King.

Another upcoming pasar malam, also organised by TLK Events and Lighting, will be located at Block 406 and Block 418 from Apr 29 to May 14.
Local supermarket chain Giant Singapore is also holding its first Ramadan pasar malam at the outdoor car park of its Tampines outlet until Apr 23.
It boasts a variety of cuisines such as Thai street food, traditional Indian vadai, traditional Malay desserts, and Turkish shawarma. According to the organiser, all the stalls serve halal food.
Easties who are keen can drop by from 12pm to 10pm daily.
Bedok
Two pasar malams, organised by TLK Events and Lighting, are located at Bedok Block 16 and Block 85. Both will run until May 14.
The Bedok Food Centre and Market at Block 216 also plays host to a pasar malam. It opens from 12pm to 10pm daily until Apr 21.

North
Woodlands
The Bazaar Raya Utara, which means the northern raya bazaar, boasts over 90 booths including F&B and retail stalls.
The bazaar offers a variety of food as well such as roti kirai, fried oreos, and laksa. Its operating hours are from 10am to 10pm and will end on Apr 19.

The bazaar is located in front of the Woodlands MRT station beside Causeway Point.
West
Bukit Panjang
In the west, a food fair is situated outside Hillion Mall until Apr 23. Visitors can expect food options such as ayam percik, sashimi, and churros.
Its opening hours are from 12pm to 10pm.

Another pasar malam will be set up at Block 259 in Bukit Panjang on Apr 29. It will last till May 14.
North-east
Punggol
The north-east side is also not short of pasar malams. Residents can head down to the pasar malam next to Punggol MRT until Apr 21. It opens from 12pm to 10pm.

Punggol residents can also look forward to another pasar malam at Punggol Oasis. It will run from Apr 27 to May 10.
Central
Kampong Gelam, Arab Street
Located in front of Sultan Mosque until Apr 16, the Kampong Gelam bazaar features more than 100 booths with 86 F&B stalls that offer various cuisines such as Dutch pancakes, Banh Mi, and sushi bake.

There are also 23 retail booths that sell modern arts, traditional crafts, and clothes.
Named Raikan Cahaya Ramadan which means “celebrating the light of Ramadan”, this bazaar is said to be the biggest edition yet since its debut in the 1960s.
