Punggol Plaza and Kallang Wave Mall among locations visited by COVID-19 cases while infectious

Four locations were added onto the Ministry of Health’s list on Monday.

Punggol Plaza mall and the Fairprice Xtra supermarket at Kallang Wave Mall were added to the list of places visited by COVID-19 cases while infectious by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Monday (Feb 8). 

There were four locations added onto the list by MOH. Other locations include a Sheng Siong supermarket at Sumang Link in Punggol and the DonBaasha restaurant at St George’s Road. 

The full list of the locations are as follows:

  1. FairPrice Xtra supermarket at Kallang Wave Mall on Jan 29, between 9.50am and 10.30pm
  2. Sheng Siong supermarket at Block 312A Sumang Link in Punggol on Feb 1, between 7.30pm and 8.15pm
  3. Punggol Plaza mall on Feb 3 between 4pm and 4.40pm and on Feb 5, between 11.10am and 11.55am
  4. DonBaasha 24hrs Restaurant at 3 St George’s Road on Feb 5, between 2am and 4.30am

The list is updated by MOH on a rolling 14-day basis, or one incubation period, and as epidemiological investigations progress.

If you were at any of the locations during the specified timings, you should monitor your health closely for 14 days from your date of visit as a precautionary measure, MOH advised.

22 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Monday. Of these, 20 were imported, with two in the community. 

The two community cases on Monday are a 49-year-old bus driver who transports people from Changi Airport to stay-home notice facilities, as well as an engineer who had received his first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, MOH said.
