POPULAR’s BookFest@Singapore 2022 to be held in December; to feature lucky draw, treasure hunt

Singapore’s largest book and stationery fair, BookFest, will return to Suntec Convention Halls 401 to 406 from Dec 9 to 18. 

Organised by POPULAR and spanning 130,000 sq ft, the fair features a myriad of events, games and activities on top of the large selection of books.

Visitors can browse through more than 330 items with exclusive prices on designated days and enjoy up to 70 per cent off on Star Buys items. Selected items will also be at special prices with a minimum $60 nett spend. 

Upon entering the event, visitors can participate in the Plinko Hunt where they can win up to $5,000 worth of cash and prizes. Using the Plinko Hunt Map at the entrance, they will need to locate and collect stamps from five checkpoints around the hall for a chance to drop a token through the Plinko for a prize. 

Workshops on batik painting, felted soap making and felt flower bookmark making will be held on Dec 9, 10 and 11 respectively. These workshops require prior registration

The fair will also have talks and performances featuring celebrities like Mediacorp LOVE 972FM deejays Wallace Ang and Violet Fenying.

There will be three lucky draws during the event. The Win-Win Lucky Draw will take place on Dec 11 at 3pm, while The Gadgets and IT Show Lucky Draw will happen on Dec 17 at 3.30pm.  

On the final day (Dec 18), the Grand Draw will take place at 3pm with up to $10,000 worth of gold up for grabs. Interested participants will have to spend a minimum of $120 nett for one chance at the draw. 

Those who sign-up or renew their three-year membership on the POPULAR SG app from Nov 25 to Dec 18 will receive a BookFest cash e-voucher and Gachapon e-coupon. They can then cash the e-voucher and collect the Gachapon prize at BookFest from Dec 9 to 18.
