If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to be more sustainable, here’s something you can look forward to!

Popular thrift store Playdate is holding its New Year Thrift Market at Marina One on Jan 15 and Jan 16 from 11am to 6pm.

You can expect pieces in every style imaginable, from casual or formal wear to Y2K party dresses in a wide variety of sizes. However, there will be no changing rooms so you should bring along your own measuring tape just to be sure everything fits.

Tickets are available in three sets – Set A, Set B and Set C – with prices varying depending on how many pieces you intend to purchase at the market. A Set A ticket allows you to purchase up to five pieces for $20, a Set B ticket allows you to purchase up to 10 pieces for $30, while a Set C allows you to purchase up to 20 pieces for $50.

If you only want to purchase seven pieces, you’ll fall under Set B ($30 for 10 pieces). If you want to purchase anything more than 10 pieces but less than 20, you’ll fall under Set C ($50 for 30 pieces).

You can still upgrade your ticket on the day itself if you wish to buy more items.

Ticket sharing is also allowed so you’re free to share the joy with friends and family! Each ticket entitles you to a 90-minute slot to shop.

Bringing your own bag is highly recommended. A charge of $0.50 per bag applies at the thrift market.

If you’re interested, you can book a slot here. Purchase your ticket before Jan 5 to receive a 20 per cent early bird discount.
