Outrun By Running Man to screen on Disney+ on Nov 12
The spinoff will feature original cast members such as Kim Jong-Kook, HAHA and Jee Seok-Jin.
Disney+ has announced that the first two episodes of Outrun By Running Man will launch across several Asia Pacific countries on Nov 12.
The highly anticipated Korean variety show is a spinoff of the widely popular Running Man on Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS), and will see members of the original cast such as Kim Jong-Kook, HAHA and Jee Seok-Jin come together to take on brand new missions and challenges alongside a number of celebrity guests.
Outrun by Running Man will be directed by Lim Hyung-Taek, who had previously worked on the Korean variety show as a producer until 2016, when he joined the production staff of the Chinese version of the show.
With a new production team, this exciting new original series on Disney+ will bring a fresh feel to the original series, which saw participants compete against each other in games and challenges at famous landmarks across Korea and Asia.
This announcement comes less than a month after Disney+’s APAC Content Showcase, which revealed over 20 new content titles under the streaming service, including 18 Originals, local language productions, and the first-ever glimpse at Outrun By Running Man.
