Outer space-themed Sichuan restaurant opens at Bugis
You can say the restaurant offers an out-of-the-world dining experience!
A new restaurant has opened up at Bugis, serving Chinese with a side of astronauts and space travel.
Previously known as a hotpot restaurant by the name of Xiao Jun Gan, the rebranded Chef China Hua Chu now specialises in Sichuan cuisine, specifically skewers.
Customers may even stand a chance to meet their astronaut mascot and take a photo with them “if you are lucky”.

The walls of the restaurant are decorated with backdrops of outer space, adorned with futuristic blue LED lights to imitate a spaceship for customers to immerse themselves in the full experience of dining in “space”.
Unfortunately, the restaurant’s space theme does not extend to its menu, and is only limited to its decor.
Some of the popular menu items to check out include the steamed chicken with chili sauce for $9.80, the salt and pepper threshold pork for $16.80, and of course, the skewers, which cost from $1.20 to $2 per stick.
Unlike its former hotpot brand, all menu items are ala-carte, and are not part of a free-flow buffet.
Chef China Hua Chu is located at 101 Beach Road, #01-01, Singapore 189703, and is open from 11am to 3am daily.
