Old-school diner Waffletown opens at Clementi on May 31
The restaurant was previously at Balmoral Plaza for 21 years.
Waffletown is opening its doors to the public in Clementi on Tuesday (May 31).
Hailing from the United States, the old-school diner opened its first outlet at the basement of Bukit Timah Plaza in the 1980s before moving to Balmoral Plaza for 21 years.
It was well known for its chicken and waffles combo before eventually closing down in April 2021 due to “rental problems”.
After about a year, the beloved restaurant is opening a new outlet at NEWest in Clementi.
Long-term fans would also be glad to know that the diner is using the same tables and chairs from when it was at Bukit Timah Plaza for that sense of nostalgia.
According to their Facebook post, Waffletown is currently soft-launching a limited menu first and some menu items may not be available yet.
Due to a shortage of manpower, the shop will only be open in the evenings from 5pm to 9pm until further notice. It is also closed on Mondays.
Waffletown is located at 1 West Coast Dr, #01-106 NEWest, Singapore 128020.
