NUS remains third among Asian universities while NTU rises to the fifth spot
Both NTU and NUS held up top 10 positions among Asian universities since 2015.
The Nanyang Technology University (NTU) has been ranked fifth among Asia’s top universities in the latest rankings by Times Higher Education.
NTU improved its rankings by a spot from last year, returning back to the top five universities of Asia this year.
Meanwhile, the National University of Singapore (NUS) retains its third-place ranking.
The top 10 universities of Asia are dominated by institutions from China, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea. Tsinghua University, which is located in Beijing, China, secured the first spot for the third consecutive year.

The Asia’s University Rankings are based on five performance indicators: teaching (the learning environment), research (volume, income and reputation), citations (research influence, international outlook (staff, students and research), and industry income (knowledge transfer).
