Patrons will no longer need to show a negative antigen rapid test (ART) to enter nightlife establishments offering dancing from Jun 14, said the Ministry of Health (MOH).

In addition, capacity limits at these venues will also be lifted. These changes in measures will rationalise the rules for night spots with other social settings, said the ministry on Friday (Jun 10).

However, vaccination-differentiated safe management measures will continue to apply. Operators must ensure that only those that are fully-vaccinated can be admitted to these venues.

Random checks may be conducted by enforcement officers to ensure that operators comply with the regulations.

Even with the further easing of safe management measures, wearing of masks indoors is still required as it remains a “key line of defence against community transmission”, said MOH.

Singaporeans are urged to stay vigilant against the risk of a new wave of cases and potential new variants

Eligible individuals who have yet to receive their primary series and booster vaccinations are encouraged to do so quickly, the ministry added.
