NKF to hold first physical Race Inspired! run on Apr 30; all proceeds to help kidney failure patients
Participants can choose between completing the 3km Fun Walk or 6km Leisure Run.
The NKF Race Inspired! run, organised by the National Kidney Foundation, will hold its first physical iteration on Apr 30. The runs were previously held in a virtual format.
Participants can choose between completing the 3km Fun Walk or the 6km Leisure Run, which will be flagged off by Guest-of-Honour and Speaker of Parliament Tan Chuan Jin.
The aim of the event is to raise greater awareness of kidney health, inspire participants to lead and advocate a healthier lifestyle, and raise funds to support patients with kidney failure.
All runners are entitled to a limited edition NKF x Mr. Kiasu Collectible Comic, a cap and drawstring bag, as well as exclusive promotions and privileges.
Apart from the run, there will also be carnival-themed activities throughout the event such as balloon sculpting, mini golf and snack booths.
Alternatively, there are other ways to support the cause such as making a direct donation, or creating a fundraiser.
Those interested can sign up for the event priced at $15 per person. Funds raised from the registration fees will be donated to NKF to help kidney failure patients with financial needs receive dialysis treatment.
The event will take place at Waterway Point from 2pm to 7pm, with the race starting at 5pm. More information about the overall event schedule and fringe activities can be found on the official website.
