Night Rider and two other bus services will be discontinued from Jun 30
No reason was stated for the discontinuation.
The Night Rider bus service will no longer operate from Jun 30, SMRT Corporation and Tower Transit Singapore announced in separate releases on Jun 16.
Consisting of buses NR1, NR2, NR3, NR5, NR6, and NR8, the Night Rider buses currently run from 11.30pm to 2am on Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of Public Holidays.
No reason was stated for the discontinuation of the services.
On top of the Night Rider series, two other bus services will also cease operations. These are services 188R, which travels from Choa Chu Kang Interchange to Sentosa, and 926, which starts from Woodlands Interchange and passes by Singapore Zoo.
Those who wish to commute to Sentosa from Choa Chu Kang may take the MRT or service 188 to Harbourfront MRT Station and later the Sentosa Express Monorail or shuttle service RWS8.
Likewise, those who wish to go to the zoo may do so via service 138 from Ang Mo Kio and Springleaf MRT stations. There is also service 927 from Choa Chu Kang MRT station, as well as the Mandai Khatib Shuttle from Khatib MRT station to the Singapore Zoo.
