A new sport climbing attraction will open at Changi Airport on Saturday (Mar 4), announced Changi Airport Group (CAG) on Monday (Feb 27).

The new attraction, named Climb@T3, is located at basement three of Changi Airport’s Terminal 3.

It features two rock climbing walls – the 8m High Wall, which stretches across basements two and three, as well as a 12m-long Boulder Wall – which cater to visitors of varying skill levels and age groups, including toddlers and adults.

The 8m High Wall has nine lanes, each equipped with state-of-the-art auto belay systems. This will allow families and friends to climb together even if they do not know how to belay.

Over 20 different climbing routes will be available for climbers. CAG announced that this figure will increase to about 30 routes in future, with each ranging in difficulty from beginner to intermediate levels.

The attraction has programmes for every type of climber. Younger children aged two and above who prefer a relaxed climbing session of up to two hours can opt for the ‘Climb and Play (Unguided)’ programme, though adult supervision is required for children aged 12 and below.

Children who need more guidance can opt for the ‘Climb and Play (Guided)’ programme, where they will receive supervision and learn from experienced instructors in a one-hour session.

There will also be programmes for those with special needs on an ad-hoc basis led by specially-trained staff.

While visitors are welcome to bring their own equipment, climbing harnesses and shoes can be rented at the space.

As part of Climb@T3’s launch, visitors can enjoy early bird promotions of up to 30 per cent off all packages from Feb 28 Feb to Mar 10, and promotional pricing of up to 10 per cent off from Mar 11 until further notice.

Both early bird and promotional packages include complimentary equipment rental.

Climb@T3 will operate from 12pm to 9.30pm from Mondays to Fridays, and 10am to 9.30pm on weekends and public holidays.

Regular coaching classes will be held from 10am to 12pm, while unguided and guided programmes will commence from 12pm onwards.

Bookings for early and promotional packages will open from Mar 2. Visitors can register for the various programmes offered or find out more about Climb@T3 on its website.
