New NDP Digital Play Pack allows Singaporeans to celebrate National Day digitally
Some of the app’s key features include photo taking with NDP-themed stickers and filters.
Singaporeans can now celebrate this year’s National Day Parade (NDP) digitally with the first-ever free NDP Digital Play Pack App.
Launched by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) on Friday (Jul 7), the app uses Augmented Reality (AR) technology to provide a digital experience that “closely simulates” this year’s NDP parade.
“With the NDP Digital Play Pack, we wanted to add a digital twist for the upcoming National Day celebrations in a fun, easy way,” said Assistant Chief Executive of BizTech Group and IMDA, Ong Chen Hui.
The app is part of the #UniteAsOneSG campaign, which aims to foster a stronger sense of belonging and identity among Singaporeans.
This is done by encouraging them to learn more about Singapore and celebrate NDP 2023 through both physical and digital activities.

The Creating as One feature enables users to take photos with NDP-themed stickers and filters.
Through AR filters, users can dress up in their favourite Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Police Force (SPF), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) uniforms. There is also an option to take selfies with the National Day mascot, August the Merlion.

The Growing Up as One feature allows users to learn more about Singapore’s history through virtual visits to the nation’s most iconic sites such as the Padang and National Library Building.

According to IMDA, the NDP as One is a surprise feature for National Day.
Featuring exclusive content for the National Day Parade, it will bring users the NDP parade experience to the “comforts of their own home” through 360-degrees videos and AR fireworks.
It will also showcase vehicles from the NDP Total Defence Parade. This includes the SCDF’s 6th Generation Light Fire Attack Vehicle and the Republic of Singapore Navy’s Unmanned Surface Vessel.
The NDP Digital Play Pack is now available for download for both iOS and Android devices.
