New large cluster at Ren Ci nursing home in Bukit Batok emerges with 51 cases
There were 607 new COVID-19 infections in Singapore on Sep 13.
Ren Ci Nursing Home at Bukit Batok was identified as a new COVID-19 cluster on Monday (Sep 13), with 28 cases.
Twenty were residents and eight were staff members. MOH had previously announced the suspension of visits to residential care homes from Sep 13 to Oct 11.
Avery Lodge Dormitory was also identified as a new COVID-19 cluster on Monday.
There was ongoing intra-dormitory transmission amongst residents and were detected through proactive testing, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said.
Singapore reported 607 new local COVID-19 infections on Monday.
Twenty-five new cases were linked to seven bus interchanges. There are now 220 cases at Toa Payoh Bus Interchange, 200 cases at Boon Lay Bus Interchange, 63 cases at Clementi Bus Interchange, 49 cases at Jurong East Bus Interchange, 51 cases at Punggol Bus Interchange, 79 cases at Tampines Bus Interchange and 40 cases at Bishan Bus Interchange.
Of the new local COVID-19 infections on Monday, 206 were between ages 12 and 39.
There were also 10 imported cases who were placed either on Stay-Home Notice or in isolation upon arrival in Singapore.
