New cafe in Balestier provides private pods for conference calls, livestreaming
The cafe aims to pave the way for a work-from-cafe culture.
If you have been searching high and low for a conducive remote working environment, this brand new cafe in Balestier may be the right place for you.
Opened on Oct 22, Thank You Come Again (TYCA) is a cafe and restaurant created by design consultancy Cover Projects that boasts a flexible workspace, including private work pods for conference calls and livestreaming to those who work remotely.
It also has an event hall for organisations that are keen to use the space for corporate or group events.

Its seasonal menu will be based on classics such as specialty coffee, hot pressed sandwiches, fresh salads, and ready-to-eat pasta and pastries.
Patrons can also expect garden-to-table ingredients such as kale and basil that are grown at the Initial Residence’s terrace garden, housed just above TYCA.
According to TYCA, the opening of its cafe comes at a time where studies are showing that more young Singaporeans, compared with older age groups, are considering renting and flat sharing as they find current property prices too high.
“The statistics are indicating that there is a demand for comfortable co-living spaces with amenities to boot, and we are aiming to plug that gap with the introduction of Initial Residence and TYCA in the city fringes,” said Managing Director of Cover Projects, Mr Lim Keong Wee.
Mr Lim added that customers can expect fringe activities, including physical and mental well-being programmes, to be introduced to TYCA.
TYCA is located at 355 Balestier Road, Singapore 329782. It is open every day, except Mondays, from 9am to 10.30pm.
