New cafe at Potong Pasir serves picture-perfect tea cakes
Great for afternoon tea or morning coffee runs.
Nestled in the heart of Potong Pasir is a new Instagrammable cafe Rise which opened on Feb 10.
Serving gorgeous artisanal bakes, gelato with waffles and beverages, this quaint cafe is just a three-minute walk from Potong Pasir MRT station.
With it’s eye-catching salmon pink walls and big round window, it’s hard to miss.

What sets Rise apart from the rest is its exquisite-looking tea cakes with perfectly drizzled icing.

The tea cakes come in sweet flavours like Yuzu Lemon, Strawberry Cheesecake, Apple Crumble Pie, Black Sesame and Raspberry Lychee Rose. For those who are more adventurous, there’s the Trio Cheese Kimchi flavour too.
Other savoury selections include a Garlic Butter + Cheese Danish.
As for gelatos, a single scoop costs $3.90 while a double scoop costs $7.50. Flavours include Shinzuoka Genmaicha, White Peach Oolong as well as Cheddar Cheese & Ritz Crackers.
You can opt to pair your scoops with Brown Butter Waffles or hand-rolled Rosemary Waffle Cones.
If you’re not a fan of coffee, Rise also has specialty tea from TWG Tea as well as 40 per cent Dark Chocolate and Orange Chocolate.
Rise is located at 148 Potong Pasir Ave 1, #01-53, Singapore 350148 and is open from Wednesday to Monday, from 10am to 6pm.
