Netflix Singapore increases subscription prices by $1 to $2

A standard plan will now cost slightly over $17, while a premium plan will cost almost $22.

Netflix is raising its subscription prices in Singapore, with prices increasing across all three monthly subscription plans by $1 to $2.

The price for the basic plan will increase from $11.98 to $12.98, the standard plan will increase from $15.98 to $17.48 while the premium plan will increase from $19.98 to $21.98.

The new prices came into effect on Oct 7 and applied to all new subscribers with immediate effect. For existing subscribers, it will take effect over the coming weeks. They will also be notified by email a month before the price hike.

This is the second time in less than two years that Netflix has adjusted prices for Singapore users. The last price adjustment came in January 2020.

In comparison, Netflix’s competitor Disney+ is charging users at S$11.98 per month or S$119.98 a year. Disney+ subscription also allows the creation of up to seven profiles and streams on up to four devices at once.
