NDP 2023: Fireworks display to take place at 5 heartland locations
The five heartland locations will also hold festivals that include sport tryouts in the lead up to Aug 9.
The National Day fireworks display will be held at five heartland locations this year on Aug 9.
The five heartland sites are: ActiveSG Bedok Sport Centre, ActiveSG Jurong West Sport Centre, ActiveSG Toa Payoh Sport Centre, ActiveSG Woodlands Sport Centre and Our Tampines Hub.
It will happen concurrently with the display at the NDP Show held at Padang, between 8.15pm and 8.25pm.
Public viewing within these heartland sites will be facilitated on a first-come, first-serve basis, said organisers.
Those at the heartlands can also catch a glimpse of the National Flag flypast from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. The two CH-47SD Chinook helicopters carrying the flag, each escorted by two AH-64D Apache helicopters, will fly two routes.
The Western route comprises locations such as Woodlands, Choa Chu Kang, Jurong and West Coast, while the Eastern route comprises locations such as Bukit Timah, Toa Payoh, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang, Punggol, Pasir Ris, Tampines, Changi, Bedok and Marine Parade.
Between 5.40pm and 610pm, an A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport accompanied by six F-16D+ and three F-15SG fighter aircrafts will execute the Island Flypast at five heartland sites – Jurong West, Woodlands, Toa Payoh, Tampines and Bedok. An F-15SG decorated to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the Republic of Singapore Air Force will be part of the formation too.
As part of the National Day celebrations in the Singapore heartlands, the Bedok, Jurong West, Toa Payoh and Woodlands ActiveSG sport centres, along with Our Tampines Hub, will feature an “exciting line-up of programmes”.
Called the GetActive! Singapore Heartland Festival, Singaporeans can look forward to a series of activities including Sport tryouts, experiential activities and live stage performances.
The tryouts include athletics, basketball, floorball, football, hockey, table tennis and tennis, while the activities include archery, skateboarding, roller skating, Nerf and Zorb ball.
The festivals will take place at the ActiveSG sport centres on Aug 5 and 6, 4pm to 9pm, and only on Aug 6 for Our Tampines Hub.
This year’s heartlands celebration will be ticketed. Application for the e-tickets starts from Jul 15, 12.00pm.

Limited quantities of physical tickets are also available at SAFRA clubs in Punggol, Tampines, Jurong, Mount Faber, Toa Payoh, Yishun and Choa Chu Kang. These tickets are available for collection from Jul 15, 12pm onwards.
Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To maximise the opportunity for all Singaporeans and PRs to attend the festival, each applicant is entitled to one application, with the first application considered as the final submission. All subsequent entries, regardless of site and day, will be deemed invalid.
Successful applicants will receive their e-tickets within two to three working days via the email addresses provided during the application process from ndp2023@klook.com.
