In light of the upcoming National Day celebrations, several food and beverage outlets have begun rolling out special offers and promotions.

1. PrimaDeli's National Day Special

Satisfy your sweet tooth with their Lion Bread ($2.80 per piece), Mane Mane Cake ($15 for 300g) or Red & White Cupcakes, baked with a vanilla cinnamon base and topped with fresh cream piping (nine pieces for $27).

Or go for their limited edition Strawberry Swiss Roll, filled with a luscious spread of strawberry jam and cream filling, priced at $5.50.

These offers are valid for walk-in orders while stocks last. Pre-orders must be made two days prior, excluding the ordering date. The last date for orders and collection is Aug 14 and Aug 16 respectively.

2. Old Chang Kee's new curry puff flavours


These puffs will surely stir up some nostalgic memories.


To celebrate the occasion, Old Chang Kee is releasing four new curry puff flavours to their menu weekly – Chilli Crab’O (Aug 2 to Aug 9), Rendang Chicken’O (Aug 10 to Aug 16), Butter Chicken’O (Aug 17 to Aug 23) and Chicken Stew’O (Aug 24 to Aug 30).

Each puff is priced at $2 per piece. The new curry puff flavours will be available at all Old Chang Kee outlets and delivery services for a limited period of time only, while stocks last.

3. Burger King's Rendang burger

Enjoy the Rendang Double Beef burger or Rendang Tendergrill Chicken burger at $7.90 per meal, including medium fries and a small Sjora Mango Peach drink.

This year’s Rendang Double Beef burger features two flame-grilled beef patties slathered with spicy rendang sauce, topped with fresh onions in between toasted sesame buns.

Meanwhile, the Rendang Tendergrill Chicken burger contains a soft and tender chicken thigh patty paired with spicy rendang sauce and fresh onions, leaving you wanting for more.

For those with bigger appetites, upgrade your Rendang Burger to XXL for just $9.90 per meal, including medium fries and a small drink! The Rendang burger is available till Aug 31.

If you want a taste of everything, get the Burger King app-exclusive ‘Combo for 2’ offering two XXL Rendang Double Beef burgers as well as the Pulut Hitam Taro Pie, fries and drinks for $19.80 per meal.

4. Starbucks' SHIOK-ah-chino

Need a cooling drink to combat Singapore’s warm weather?

Starbucks Singapore’s new menu additions, the all-new SHIOK-ah-ccino Strawberry Delight Frappuccino and Chocolate Granola Banana Yoghurt Frappuccino, should do the trick!

In line with Singapore’s national colours, the SHIOK-ah-ccino features strawberries and non-fat milk, with red star chocolate sprinkles and a SHIOK! chocolate topper.

The Chocolate Granola Banana Yoghurt Frappuccino presents a well-blended combination of ice, tangy yoghurt, and sweet, creamy banana sauce topped with a smooth chocolate milk foam and honey-glazed granola topping.

Prices for the frappuccinos start from $8.20.

Pair your refreshing drinks with delicious local-inspired desserts, such as the Brown Sugar Boba Gem Cake, Ondeh-Ondeh Mousse Cake or Milo Dinosaur Cake.

Need something savoury? Try the Impossible Rendang Pie made with plant-based meat and fragrant spices, available at all Singapore Starbucks outlets until Aug 11.

5. Texas Chicken's Salted Egg Fried Chicken

Coated with salted egg sauce and sprinkles of salted egg crumbs to give the ultimate crunch with every bite, Texas Chicken’s fresh and crispy Salted Egg Fried Chicken is returning to the menu from Jul 16 to Aug 26.

Homegrown singer-songwriter and actress Annette Lee, best known as SGAG’s “Sue Ann”, even composed a song for the flavourful crispy chicken!

Titled ‘This Is Yolk, Truly’, some of the positive reviews and comments posted from the debut of the fried chicken last year were featured in the lyrics.

6. KFC's Flossy Crunch Chicken

The recently launched Flossy Crunch Chicken is a new version of KFC’s Hot and Crispy Chicken, doused in fragrant curry and local spices and topped with spicy-sweet dried shrimp chicken floss.
