Nandita Banna, 21, crowned Miss Universe Singapore 2021
The confidence in her personality, elegance in her walk and eloquence in her answers during the competition was what made her Miss Universe Singapore 2021.
A third-year business undergraduate from the Singapore Management University was crowned as Miss Universe Singapore 2021 on Friday (Sep 17).
Nandita Banna stole the show with her intelligence, poise and beauty. The finals, which were held digitally for the first time via a virtual fashion festival, The Front Row, concluded on a high note with the crowning of the 21-year-old.

She beat seven other finalists, including first runner-up Kalynskye Adrian, second runner-up, Lila Tan, and third runner-up, Mardhiah Azizan. Nandita will represent Singapore in the 70th Miss Universe international competition to be held in Eilat, Israel, in December.

Currently majoring in Business Management and Information Systems (Business Analytics), the 1.76m-tall Nandita is passionate about leveraging technology to create a more sustainable future. An avid volunteer with ambitions to help people in real and meaningful ways, she also mentors primary school students to help them learn interpersonal and life skills.

Upon clinching the winning title, Nandita said she would like to bring awareness to the social issues in Singapore, such as climate change and women empowerment, and work on eliciting conversations and ways to improve them during her reign.
