Lights, music and interactive play await as the third edition of Rainforest Lumina returns to the Singapore Zoo this July.

The attraction is a 1km stretch of the tropical rainforest at night with a multisensory experience to go with it. It is not part of the Night Safari.

The night trail will run from Jul 8, 2021 till Feb 13, 2022. It will feature eight virtual animals, known as the Creature Crew, to guide you through the walk.

The crew embodies a special virtue reminiscent of their species as they lead everyone on a mission to discover how humans and nature are interconnected, and how each has a vital role to sustain life on earth.

Visitors can look forward to singing and playing with the Creature Crew at popular interactive play zones and be immersed in a dazzling laser display as they make their way through the Luminous Pathway.

Patrons will also find luminous fields of pixel lights that pulsate to rhythm at the Shimmering Islands.

There will also be a digital thunderstorm with a symphony conducted by Bob the playful otter.

The attraction offers more than 10 multisensory zones where visitors can immerse themselves in a symphony of lights, music and interactive play. PHOTO CREDIT: WILDLIFE RESERVES SINGAPORE

The journey will end with a laser and projection display, which reminds everyone of the need to do our part to protect the rainforest.

Tickets to Rainforest Lumina cost $18 for adults and youth (13 to 17 years old), $14 for kids (three to 12 years old) and seniors (60 years and older). Tickets can be purchased here.

As part of an opening special, tickets can be purchased at 50 per cent off between Jul 1 and Jul 7. Thereafter, local residents can enjoy up to 30 per cent savings. This attraction is also included in the Night Safari Plus combo, allowing you to visit both places in the same night.

Additionally, visitors to any of Wildlife Reserves Singapore’s day parks — Jurong Bird Park, River Safari or Singapore Zoo — can visit the Rainforest Lumina for an additional cost of $10 (S8 for kids).

Tickets can also be redeemed using SingapoRediscovers Vouchers.

The attraction will be open from Thursdays to Sundays, public holidays and eve of public holidays from 7.15pm to midnight, with the last admission at 10.15pm.

Debuted in 2018, the third edition of Rainforest Lumina will be its last.
