MSF and SingPost release commemorative stamps for Year of Celebrating SG Families
The four designs each represent a different key family value, including love, care and concern.
As part of the Year of Celebrating SG Families (YCF) celebrations, the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) launched a set of four stamps in collaboration with Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) on Saturday (Oct 8).
Aiming to encourage Singaporeans to build stronger relationships with their families, the stamps feature Families for Life mascot Becky Bunny embodying the values of love, care and concern, commitment and respect.
Hoping that the collaboration with SCCCI would encourage the younger generation to celebrate and respect their grandparents as important role models, Families for Life Council Chairman Mr Ishak Ismail said: “Strong family relationships provide the conduit through which our elders can pass on values and lessons learnt to the younger generation.”
There will also be other family-friendly events, programmes and resources throughout the year as part of YCF.
The stamps cost between $0.30 (1st local) and $1.50 each. There are also pre-cancelled first-day covers at $4.90 each and presentation packs at $5.95 each.
The sets are available at all post offices, philatelic stores and online.
