The trailer for Ms Marvel has been released on Tuesday (Mar 15).

The new Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) series will be exclusively streamed on Disney+ on Jun 8.

Iman Vellani, the upcoming 19-year-old Pakistani-Canadian actress, is set to make her onscreen debut as Kamala Khan, also known as Ms Marvel.

Kamala is a regular teenage girl going through life at high school, at home and in her fantasy land. Pressured to start thinking about her future and figuring out who she is, Kamala begins to wonder what others expect “brown girls from Jersey City” to be.

She copes with her struggles by going to her fantasy land to be whoever she wants, such as her role model, Captain Marvel.

One day, she discovers that she has cosmic superpowers as well as a new set of challenges for her to overcome. In this six-episode series, MCU’s first Muslim Pakistani-American superhero will finally take the spotlight.

From the beautiful and vibrant colours of the sets and costumes to Kamala’s bright and unique personality displayed, this jam-packed trailer is just the beginning for this young Avenger in the making.
