It looks like the wet weather of the past month will not be ending anytime soon.

Thundery showers can be expected on most days in the first half of March 2022, said the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) on Tuesday (Mar 1).

A main reason is because of the monsoon rain band remaining over the equatorial Southeast Asia region.

In this period, short-duration thundery showers are expected over parts of the island on most days, aside from widespread and heavy thundery showers on some days.

This is due to the strong daytime heating of land areas and the gusty winds blowing from southwest and west of Singapore.

It also means that the daily temperature is forecast to go as low as 24 degrees Celsius, but could still reach a high of around 34 degrees Celsius on some days.

The daily weather forecast can be tracked on MSS’ website.
