More wet weather is expected in Singapore for the first two weeks of October 2022, said the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) on Sep 30.

Thundery showers from the morning to the early afternoon are forecasted on most days, although the first weekend of October could see moderate to heavy thundery showers over Singapore in the afternoon too.

In the second half of the fortnight, widespread thundery showers with occasional strong winds between the pre-dawn hours and mornings in Singapore could occur. This is due to Sumatra squalls developing in the Strait of Malacca.

The daily temperature during the fortnight is forecasted to range from 24 degree Celsius to 33 degree Celsius.

However, there may be occasions where the daily temperatures may drop to as low as 23 degree Celsius.

The total rainfall for the first half of October is forecast to be above average over most parts of Singapore.
