Over the next few days, more hawker centres and coffee shops will allow groups of five to dine in.

In a Facebook post on Nov 26, the National Environment Agency (NEA) announced that groups of five who are fully vaccinated can soon dine in at 19 more hawker centres and 11 more coffee shops that have placed vaccination checks at access points as part of Singapore’s move to the Transition Phase.

These include East Coast Lagoon Food Village, Adam Food Centre, Maxwell Food Centre and Tanglin Halt Market, where groups of five can dine starting Nov 29.

Before this, 11 hawker centres and seven coffee shops were already allowing the increased number of diners from Nov 23 onwards.

Groups of up to 5 fully vaccinated or eligible persons can now dine in at more hawker centres that have put in place...

In addition to this, NEA urges patrons to check the crowd level information website, called Space Out, for four of the most popular markets; Geylang Serai Market, Chong Pang Market, Block 20/21 Marsiling Lane and Block 505 Jurong West Street 52, before visiting them.

By doing so, visitors can get an estimated waiting time if the markets have exceeded the maximum capacity.

The updated list of hawker centres allowing groups of five diners can be found here, while the updated list of coffee shops and canteens can be found here. Diners are reminded to abide by the Safe Management Measures (SMM).
