More best study spots
New year, new study spots!
If one of your resolutions this year is to hit the books, you are in luck.
Following our viral feature of best study spots in 2013, we have rounded up more quiet places with good Wi-Fi and strong air-conditioning for you–no more excuses, now.
North
McDonald’s, Woodlands Mart
For most North-siders, Woodlands Civic Centre is the go-to place to study. However, with that place being perpetually crowded, many are searching for alternatives.
Allow me to present the McDonald’s at Woodlands Mart! More than half the North-siders I know do not even know that Woodlands Mart existed, so overcrowding will not be an issue here.

Wi-Fi: Wireless@SG
Address: Blk 678A, Woodlands Avenue 6, #01-05, Singapore (731678)
Opening hours:
Mon to Sun, 24 hours
West
Latte e Miele
Located in The Grandstand (formerly Turf City), Latte e Miele is a café that also sells gelato and waffles. You can easily find a studying spot, especially on weekdays, as not many people go to (or know of) The Grandstand.

Address: The Grandstand, 200 Turf Club Road, #01-34B, Bukit Timah, Singapore (287994)
Opening hours:
Mon to Thu, 12.30am to 10pm
Fri, 12.30am to 10.30pm
Sat, 10.30am to 10.30pm
Sun, 10.30am to 10pm
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, West Mall
I have done my fair share of studying and working on my assignments here. A sanctuary from the ever so crowded West Mall, it is quite a popular studying spot amongst the West-siders.

Address: 1 Bukit Batok Central Link, Singapore (658713)
Opening hours:
Mon to Thu, 8am to 11pm
Fri to Sun, 8am to 12pm
Central
Starbucks, Wisma Atria
With most people flocking to the Starbucks and Coffee Bean at ION Orchard, the neighbouring Starbucks outlet at Wisma Atria remains relatively uncongested. Ample seating and two Wi-Fi networks ensure that you have a productive study session.

Wi-Fi: Y5 zone and Wireless@SG
Address: Wisma Atria, 435 Orchard Rd, #03-35/40, Singapore (238877)
Opening hours:
Daily, 8.00am to 11pm
library@orchard
Launched in October last year, the library at Orchard Gateway is not only good for taking artistic shots of its architecture. It has studying pods scattered across its two levels and a designated study area too.

Address: Orchard Gateway, 277 Orchard Road, #03-12/#04-11, Singapore (238858)
Opening hours:
Mon to Sun, 11am to 9pm
Roof Garden, Orchard Central
For an unconventional studying spot, head to the Roof Garden at Orchard Central if quiet study spots are not your thing.
This open area is ideal for loud meetings: think presentation dry runs with your group mates or brainstorming sessions for your projects. Access to the garden, which is free, is open 24 hours.

Address: L11 and L12 of Orchard Central
Opening hours:
Mon to Sun, 24 hours
East
Tampines Regional Library
The Tampines Regional Library has three levels, each equipped with their own study corners. If you need a spacious spot to do your work, we recommend the Reading Room on the second floor.
The room has plenty of seats and special tables for laptop users.

Address: 31 Tampines Ave 7, Singapore (529620)
Opening hours:
Mon to Sun, 10am to 9pm
South
library@esplanade
Tucked away on the third level of the Esplanade, the library@esplanade is one of the nicest yet least known study spots in Singapore. Aside from the thousands of books it carries, the library is well furnished with a selection of leather chairs and standard study tables.
Books & Cranny, a café situated within the library, is an alternative study area that provides Wi-Fi for its customers.

Address: 8 Raffles Avenue, #03-01, Singapore (039802)
Opening hours:
Mon to Sun, 11am to 9pm
