Annual esports event centered around the popular mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), is set to return in 2021.

But with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament will be held online to ensure the health and safety of players.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) will take place from Jun 7 to Jun 13, with first two group stages from Jun 7 to 9 and a one day rest in between, before playoffs begin Jun 11 onwards. The grand finale wraps up the event on Jun 13.

A total of twelve teams hailing from different parts of Southeast Asia including Singapore, will compete for a prize pool of US$150,000 (S$200,000) to see who is the best MLBB team in the region.

Fans can look forward to in-game activities, mini-events, and the comeback of old or retired players making special appearances. There will also be new limited-time skins available only from May 29 to Jun 13 this year, through MSC in-game activities and the “Double Event”.

The tournament is organised by global video game company MOONTON Games, who will be working closely with local esports associations and teams, ensuring players have a safe setup and venue for the competition.
