Aspiring pro gamers can sign up for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Singapore qualifiers starting Wednesday (Feb 1), as the tournament returns for its fifth season.

The opening qualifiers will take place online from Feb 18 to 19 in a group stage setting, with top teams from each group playing against each other in a double-elimination format. The final two squads will advance to the Regular Season of MPL Singapore.

The Regular Season of MPL Singapore will start on Mar 11, lasting for four weekends.

Each team will play against the other seven teams in a Best of Three series during this time, and the points earned from these games will determine their ranking and how they will be seeded during Playoffs on Apr 14 to 16.

All eight teams will qualify for Playoffs and play in a double-elimination bracket. The top four teams from the Regular Season will be seeded in the Upper Brackets, while the other four teams will start from the Lower Brackets.

MPL Singapore also serves as a pathway to regional and international stages such as the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) and the M-Series World Championship.

In previous seasons, local teams such as RSG SG and Slate Esports, formerly known as EVOS SG, represented Singapore on such international stages.

The last iteration of MPL Singapore garnered a record high of over 32,000 viewers, while the on-ground crowd was also at full capacity with over 3,000 fans showing up across three days to cheer for their favourite teams at Our Tampines Hub during the Playoffs and Grand Finals.

Registration for the qualifiers will end on Feb 15 at 12pm.
