The seven members of BTS officially have personal Instagram accounts. This was confirmed after they started posting photos individually on Dec 6.

The members’ accounts are as follows: RM is @rkive, Jin is @jin, Suga is @agustd, J-Hope is @uarmyhope, Jimin is @j.m, V is @thv and Jungkook is @abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz. Notably, Suga’s username is a reference to his name as a solo artist, and Jungkook’s username is the alphabet without his initials JK.

Their photos vary, ranging from polaroids to selfies to throwback shots. Some of the members have also started posting on Instagram stories.

At the moment, they have restricted their photos, such that only users they follow can post comments. They only follow each other and the group Instagram account, @bts.bighitofficial, which is company-run and has been active since 2015.

The accounts were made after their entertainment company, Bighit Entertainment, announced that the group would be taking a break until March of 2022. This is their second break since they debuted in 2013.

In a statement on Twitter, Bighit stated that “This period of rest will provide the members of BTS a chance to get re-inspired and recharge with creative energy. It will also be the first time for them since their debut to spend the holiday season with their families. We kindly ask once again that you show consideration for their need to enjoy ordinary and free, everyday lives while solely concentrating on themselves during their period of rest.”
