If you’re looking for a new job and have expertise in flipping prata, here’s something you might want to consider.
A restaurant in Melbourne, Australia, is hiring chefs to flip prata, literally. The job pays between AU$60,000 and AU$64,999 a year, which works out to be between S$5,000 to $5,400 a year (before taxes).
The restaurant, Roti Bar, serves authentic Malaysian cuisine in the central business district of Melbourne and prides itself on its expertise in Roti Canai – the Malaysian equivalent of what Singaporeans know as Roti Prata.
Interested applicants “must have experience” flipping Roti Canai and have to “work under pressure”, said the listing. Beyond basic knowledge, training will be provided to hired candidates in order to meet the restaurant’s standards.
Roti Bar will also provide accommodation and staff meals to all its workers.
Those interested will need to apply for an Australia visa, as Roti Bar requires employees to have full work rights in Australia.
