Melbourne-inspired sandwich shop Surrey Hills Deli will open at Raffles Place on Wednesday (Feb 1).

It will feature a one-for-one signature sandwich promotion on opening day, from 11am to 7pm.

The 20-seater diner has eight signature sandwiches, made with fresh ingredients that come directly from its grocer.

These include the Hendurance sandwich ($18) made with white sourdough layered with French poulet ham, romaine lettuce, roasted sweet potato, bacon, fried Nuyolk egg, shaved parmigiano, cheddar cheese, mustard butter and drenched in Caesar dressing.

Diners can also try out the Oppor-tuna-ty sandwich at the exact same price. This sandwich contains light rye lined with tuna salad, pickled jalapeño, aged gouda, aged cheddar and charred pepper.

Another classic sandwich option would be the Avo-cardio sandwich priced at $20, which is said to be generously loaded with Avocado.

Those looking for a slightly more affordable sandwich option can consider giving the Energise To-ma-toes sandwich ($16) a go, while truffle lovers can try the Truffle Up sandwich ($22).

The sandwich joint also has three sandwich options specifically for meat lovers.

The Let’s Pull Through sandwich ($20), Spam the Positivity sandwich ($19) and Seize the Moo-ment sandwich ($24) include meats like pork and beef.

Each sandwich comes with in-house sauces like Avo sauce, Caesar dressing, burger sauce and black truffle mayo.

The deli also serves up a wide selection of artisanal breads like ciabatta, multigrain and rustic white sourdough to suit different preferences.

Besides sandwiches, Surrey Hills Deli offers a variety of ‘grab-and-go’ salad bowls at its mini grocer. Salad options range from $15 to $18 and include three options.

Other items sold at the mini grocer include fresh fruit bowls, antipasto platter (a selection of cold and cured meats, cheese, olives, and assorted vegetables), loaded hummus, gourmet yoghurt parfait with granola, Australian dairy and alcohol.

In addition, Surrey Hills Deli will also have a Chilli Crab Pasta with a twist ($24) on their menu. The pasta features house-made chilli rempah topped with fresh prawns, tobiko and mizuna greens.

The joint will offer coffees brewed using beans from ONA coffee, a popular Australian-specialty coffee roaster. There will also be new outlet-exclusive beverage creations including Rhubarb Lemonade and Espresso Sparkling, each priced at $7.

The diner will serve bar snacks and alcohol from 5pm as well.

Diners can choose from an alcohol menu that serves fresh Australian craft beer on tap (from $15) from brands like Moon Dog Lager and One Drop Brewing Co, Australian wine ($15) in Red, White and Rose selections, and Gin & Tonic Cocktails ($18).

It will also offer bites like Whoppie Wings ($12), Triple Truffle Fries ($12) and Tater Tots ($12).

Surrey Hills Deli is located at Raffles Place, 6 Battery Road, #01-02, Singapore 049909, and opens on Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 10pm, and on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm.
