Marina Bay Sands to offer Movies in the Sky, an outdoor silent cinema 56 storeys high
The cinema will screen movies such as Spiderman: No Way Home and The Greatest Showman.
If you are looking to bring your movie nights to a new level, watching them elevated 56 storeys above ground is now an option.
Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is starting Movies in the Sky – an outdoor silent cinema located at its SkyPark Observation Deck. The cinema will run from Jun 9 to Jul 2, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Partnering with outdoor cinema start-up Cinewav, the cinema’s silent concept allows moviegoers to experience “big screen visuals while listening to HD audio on their smartphone” against a backdrop of the Singapore skyline.
As such, moviegoers are expected to bring their own pair of headphones when attending screenings.
Across a span of four weeks, there will be a total of 12 movies screened. Titles include Spiderman: No Way Home, The Greatest Showman, The Fault in our Stars and Little Women, to name a few.
For those who would like to snack during the movie, food can be purchased from the SkyPark itself, as outside food and drinks are not permitted.
Each movie will be screened at 9pm.
Tickets to the movie cost $48 per pax, inclusive of admission to the SkyPark Observation Deck (worth $25) and can be purchased here.
