Mandai Wildlife Group partners with Soft Toy Hospital to recycle and rehome donated plush toys
Mandai will also offer Sun Bear-inspired merchandise, a limited edition Mandai Monopoly Playset and The Wildlife Sanctuary merchandise collection.
Mandai Wildlife Group has partnered with Soft Toy Hospital this festive season to give donated damaged plush toys a new lease of life by repairing and re-homing them.
According to a press release from Friday (Dec 9), this is part of efforts to contribute to a sustainable ecosystem of gift giving.
Donation boxes for soft toys are located within retail shops at Rainforest KidzWorld in Singapore Zoo and River Wonders.
Toys which are in good condition will be re-distributed to underprivileged children and related charities, while damaged or slightly defective toys will be upcycled by the skilled “surgeons” at the Soft Toy Hospital for their subsequent new homes.

Mandai has also added new merchandise this Christmas season to its Wildlife Sanctuary merchandise collection.
The lifestyle collection features a sustainable range of homeware, accessories and apparel, decked in the trademark natural earthy tones and chic animal motifs.
This collection was created with the aim of encouraging eco-friendly choices in everyday living.

Reusable items available for sale like the vacuum flask also come in designs inspired by the white tiger, giant panda and elephant.
Mandai’s residents such as the red panda, Sumatran orangutan and Sunda pangolin are also featured in a limited edition Monopoly Board Game Playset worth $69.
The set features Act for Wildlife and Care for Wildlife cards which encourage action for wildlife conservation, instead of the Chance and Community Chest cards that are present in the original game.
There are also six customised tokens representing threatened species, as well as equipment and tools that are in use at the parks.

This set is also accompanied by Mandai’s very own Top Trumps Card Game, which features 30 different animals and their fun facts.

Merchandise from a collaboration with Huggs Coffee is heavily inspired by the Malayan Sun Bear.

A portion of the revenue from every purchase at Mandai Wildlife Group’s retail stores (both physical and virtual), as well as proceeds from tickets to the wildlife parks, goes toward caring for animals and supporting conservation projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Selected items will also be available on e-stores Shopee and Lazada.
