Madagascar Zone at Universal Studios Singapore to cease operations from Mar 27
To celebrate the departure of the Madagascar crew, a farewell event titled Move It! Move It! for One Last Boogie! will be held.
The beloved Madagascar zone at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) will soon cease to exist.
The themed zone, modelled after the popular Madagascar films franchise under DreamWorks animation studio, will close on Mar 27, said Resorts World Sentosa (RSS) in a press release.
A special farewell event titled Move It! Move It! for One Last Boogie! will be held from Mar 10 to Mar 27.
Visitors can look forward to festivities like float parades and meet and greets with their favourite characters.
This will also be the last chance for fans to enjoy iconic rides within the zone such as Madagascar: A Crate Adventure, a water ride that takes riders on an adventure with the Madagascar characters.
However, visitors can still look forward to riding on King Julien’s Beach Party-Go-Round carousel, as it remains open till further notice.
Visitors can also head over to Gloria’s Snack Shack for specially prepared grub for the occasion. Menu items reflect the Madagascar theme with island flavours such as Smoky Pork Mada-Husk, Crispy Chicken Mada-Husk, Madagascar Coconut Shake and Madagascar Strawberry Shaved Ice and more.
As part of the celebrations, guests will also be treated to irresistibly flavoured popsicles like mango, vanilla and others while stocks last, as an icy, delectable escape from the heat.
Complimentary stickers featuring the Madagascar characters will also be given out as a memento of the occasion.
In addition to the festivities, a new promotional package known as the Madagascar Farewell Special is now available for booking. It retails at $78 (usual price $98) and includes a one-day adult ticket to Universal Studios Singapore, $20 worth of Madagascar retail voucher and a $10 F&B voucher.
The vouchers do not require a minimum spend to be redeemed.
Separately, a two-day-one-night (2D1N) Stay Wild! Package has also been introduced for a luxurious stay at RWS after the day’s festivities. Costing at least $415, guests can treat themselves to a specially curated Madagascar experience.
This package offers all the privileges from the Madagascar Farewell Special and a one-night stay at Hotel Michael or Equarius Hotel with breakfast for two. It also includes a special photograph opportunity with Madagascar characters and limited edition Madagascar merchandise.
Bookings for either of the packages can be made here from now till Mar 27.
