Macallan releases exclusive Fine Cocoa whiskey, retail pop-up in Changi Airport till Jun 30
The whiskey will be introduced to more travel retailers globally from June.
The Macallan has launched the Fine Cacao, the second cocoa-inspired single malt whisky to join its exclusive Harmony Collection, announced the whiskey brand on Wednesday (May 4).
To complement its release, a travel retail exclusive pop-up has been set up at the Departure Hall in Terminal Three in Changi Airport and will last until Jun 30.
Built with repurposed materials, the installation offers an interactive Augmented Reality (AR) experience which will unveil the story behind The Harmony Collection Fine Cacao.
The whiskey is part of The Macallan’s first Global Travel retail edition in a new limited annual release series which highlights the brand’s sustainability journey.
The drink is presented in a fully recyclable and biodegradable box made using discarded cacao husks, a natural by-product in the chocolate making process. Additionally, its characteristic milk profile is derived from a combination of European and American oak casks.
Visitors can purchase the whiskey at the pop-up for a retail price of $215.
The beverage is available for purchase at the Lotte Duty Free shops in Changi Airport as well. It will be introduced more widely to global travel retailers from June, and a portion of every purchase will be donated as proceeds to the Garden City Fund.
