Colours play an important role in Chinese culture as they symbolise special meanings according to each person’s Zodiac sign, and are believed to even improve luck in certain situations.

If you are interested in finding out what are the most auspicious colours for each Zodiac sign this year, we’ve got you covered.

In the Year of the Tiger, most Zodiac signs will have good luck in the career and wealth aspects of their lives. When it comes to relationships, however, some will not be so lucky in love.

When it comes to love, those born in the Year of the Pig and Ox will have relatively good luck. Wear something yellow to this year’s family reunion and you might just be bringing a significant other to the next.

For those born in the Year of the Rabbit, Horse, Rooster and Dog, you probably won’t have to update your relationship status on Facebook for another year as there will be no big changes. But should you ever update that status to “It’s complicated”, you might want to take a step back and have an honest talk with your partner.

Singles born in the Year of the Dragon are encouraged to be honest about their feelings in relationships, or they might just miss their soulmate. White may be their lucky colour for this year, but clear communication is definitely important, regardless of the colour of the clothes they wear.

Most Zodiac signs have a good year for career opportunities ahead if they play their cards right, and bring in more wealth too.

Those born in the Year of the Snake can consider taking a liking to cyan, as it may increase their chances of getting promoted.

For those born in the Year of the Rat and Ox, it’s a no-brainer that red wards off bad luck in Chinese culture, and are thus encouraged to wear the auspicious shade out more for a higher chance at having good luck for their career and its opportunities.

Although it’s the Year of the Tiger, Tiger babies should be wary of their wealth this year, and be careful when entering monetary relationships with others. They should not expect massive windfalls or big achievements, and should simply spend their money reasonably. Perhaps wearing orange will help them make clearer financial decisions.

Salespeople born in the Year of the Goat will have outstanding achievements when it comes to income and relationships. Avoid investing blindly and you can enjoy good wealth this year.

Likewise, it’s a good year for those born in the Year of the Monkey to start or expand their business overseas. Don’t spend too much on financial products and stocks, and invest in fixed assets like real estate instead. Just try to wear more white when making these decisions for slightly better luck.
