Local urban farm ComCrop to host tour on Jul 8; will showcase sustainable farming methods
Visitors can learn how the farm grows pesticide-free herbs and vegetables sustainably.
Local urban vegetable farm ComCrop will open its doors to an exclusive tour on Jul 8.
The tour, part of the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment’s #GoGreenSG campaign, aims to give visitors a deeper insight into the farm’s daily operations and how it contributes to food security in Singapore using sustainable crop growth methods.

Founded in 2011, ComCrop is Singapore’s first commercial rooftop farming company that focuses on sustainable urban farming.
The company uses various technologies such as automated farming and a mobile gully system to maximise space, increase productivity, and reduce manpower. It also uses solar energy to reduce energy consumption from the grid and manages plant growth through remote monitoring.
ComCrop was also one of the few companies to receive the Singapore Food Agency’s (SFA) $30 million “30×30 Express” grant in 2020.
The grant aims to help Singapore meet a 30 per cent quota of locally produced food by 2030 through supporting local farms. This should improve Singapore’s food security from the challenges brought by climate change.
Admission for the ComCrop tour costs $20, inclusive of a packet of freshly harvested vegetables. Additional vegetables will also be available for purchase on-site, subject to availability.
Those interested to participate in the tour can register via this link. However, the registration is not confirmation of a spot in the tour. Participants with confirmed spots for the ComCrop tour will be notified by the company through email.
ComCrop is located at 15 Woodlands Loop, Singapore 738322.
