Life-sized Transformers robots roll into Gardens by the Bay on world tour

The giant Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal statues are on display till Apr 10.

Transformers fans can marvel at two life-sized Transformers robots at the Gardens by the Bay till Apr 10.

Standing at 6m and 4m tall, the statues of Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal tower over the Silver Leaf Garden and are free for the public to view and take pictures with.

Singapore is the first stop in Asia for the Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Statues World Tour, which is run in the lead up to the next Transformers movie featuring the characters on display.

The seventh instalment of the global blockbuster movie franchise, Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts returns to the big screen on Jun 8. 

It features a new cast on a 90s adventure, and introduces a new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – joining the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

The movie is directed by Steven Caple Jr and will star actors like Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback. This year’s Academy Award Best Actress Michelle Yeoh will be voicing the Transformers character Maximal Airazor. 

The statues are open to the public from 5am to 12am daily.
