Lee Kwang-soo to depart from Korean variety show ‘Running Man‘
Thank you Lee Kwang-soo for the past 11 years of hard work and laughter.
If you’re a fan of the popular Korean variety show Running Man, just like I am, it’s time we say goodbye to the goofy and comical Lee Kwang-soo.
The original cast member will leave Running Man after 11 years.
According to his agency King Kong by Starship, Lee’s decision to leave Running Man was due to his current health conditions.
Lee struggled to keep up with the physical demands of the variety show after suffering from injuries as a result of a car accident last February.
Despite undergoing physical therapy, Lee felt that “it was difficult to maintain top physical condition during ‘Running Man’ filmings”, which led to the decision of his departure. Running Man will continue with the other seven cast members after Lee films his last episode on May 24.
Fans from all over the world expressed their sadness and took the heartbreaking news of his departure from Running Man to several social media platforms.
We have all watched Lee Kwang-soo grow throughout the years in Running Man, but it’s finally time to bid farewell to our Prince of Asia.
Thank you Kwang-soo for the past 11 years of joy and laughter. Wishing you a speedy recovery to come back even stronger!
