League of Legends animated TV series Arcane renewed for a second season
Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell and Katie Leung will reprise their voice roles.
League of Legends animated TV series, Arcane has been renewed for a second season.
The announcement came a day after the release of the first season’s finale on Nov 20.
It has been confirmed that Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Ella Purnell (Jinx) and Katie Leung (Caitlyn Kiramman) will reprise their voice roles and that the executive producers will be Christian Linke, Marc Merrill, Brandon Beck, Jane Chung and Thomas Vu.
The rest of season two including its plot and release date have not been announced.
Arcane is developed and produced by Riot Games in partnership with Fortiche Productions, a Paris-based animation studio that has created several of Riot Games’ music videos, game cinematics and League of Legends advertisements.
Arcane dives into the delicate balance between the rich city of Piltover and the seedy underbelly of Zaun. The rivalry between the cities splits families and friends as Arcane brings life to the relationships that shape some of League of Legends’ famous champions, including Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn.
“We’re beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane’s first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second installment,” said Arcane co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee.
